Hilton Port Moresby announces sixth annual ‘Christmas Under the Stars’ for charity

Hilton Port Moresby Hotel & Residences is excited to announce that the highly anticipated Christmas Under the Stars for Charity event will return for its sixth year on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Hilton Port Moresby. This heart-warming evening promises to bring together families, local communities, and supporters of two remarkable charitable organizations in celebration of the season of giving.

The event is part of Hilton’s commitment to hospitality and corporate responsibility, providing a platform for the community to unite in support of those in need. This year, Hilton Port Moresby will dedicate its efforts to supporting the WeCare Foundation and the Well Women’s Clinic, both of which have made significant, positive impacts in the lives of many across the region.

Since 2007, the WeCare Foundation has been a beacon of hope for vulnerable populations, offering vital programs in early childhood development, women’s empowerment, special needs support, and educational assistance. The foundation’s work highlights the transformative power of compassion and community collaboration.

For over 15 years, the Well Women’s Clinic has been providing critical healthcare, education, and treatment to women across the region, empowering them with the resources they need to transform their futures. Hilton is proud to support these organizations that continue to change lives for the better.

Christmas Under the Stars for Charity” is an integral part of Hilton’s global corporate social responsibility initiative, Travel with Purpose, which focuses on creating lasting positive impacts on both society and the environment. This annual event fosters a spirit of generosity and community, and Hilton is honoured to support two organizations whose work truly embodies these values.

The event will take place at the Hilton Port Moresby Amphitheatre from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and is open to the public. Guests are encouraged to attend with a donation or by purchasing K5 raffle tickets, which are available now at the Hilton Hotel Reception and the WeCare Foundation office in Waigani.

Attendees can expect a magical evening filled with family-friendly entertainment, including choir performances, solo musical acts, dance routines, storytelling, magic shows, and a special visit from Santa Claus. There will be something for everyone, creating a festive atmosphere that embodies the joy and warmth of the holiday season.
