The Hon. Powes Parkop is a former lecturer in Law at the University of Papua New Guinea and is now the current Governor of Port Moresby and the National Capital District. He was elected to Parliament in 2007, re-elected in 2012, 2017 and now serving his fourth term from the 2022 election. Governor Parkop founded the Social Democratic Party in 2010.
Ravu Frank has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the PNG University of Technology with a Master’s Degree in Engineering Science, Transport Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia. Mr. Frank spent most of his civil engineering experience with NCDC, supervising & managing projects such as the major capital road projects since 2011, the four-lane highways & arterial roads, flyover, the Ela Beach redevelopment, stadiums, and sporting venues.
