New Solomons country manager for ANZ
Geoffrey Buchanan has been appointed ANZ’s new Chief Executive Officer for the Solomon Islands. Buchanan joins ANZ from Standard Chartered Bank, where he held roles in finance, governance and business development in several countries across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, including CEO roles in Mauritius, Jordan and Iraq.
He replaces Barry Sowman, who is returning to ANZ in New Zealand.
Garnsey joins Vanguard
Port Moresby-based recruitment, labour hire and human resource services organisation Vanguard International has appointed Peter Garnsey as Executive Director in charge of its labour hire/contractor division.
