Board appointments at new Kumul Telikom, a new Chairman at Coca-Cola Amatil, PNG Coffee Industry Corporation appoints woman to top regulatory position, new General Manager at Compass Works PNG, and several public service appointments
The government has confirmed Mahesh Patel as the Chairman of Kumul Telikom, following the merger of Telikom PNG, DataCo and bmobile Vodafone. Current Telikom PNG CEO, Michael Donnelly, will oversee the amalgamation of the three entities. Other board members are deputy chairman Reuben Kautu, and directors Cedric Rondoke, Kili Tambua, Avia Koisen and Andrew Johnson.

The Chairman of Coca-Cola Amatil, David Gonski will leave in May, to be succeeded by non-executive director Ilana Atlas.

The new head of the PNG Coffee Industry Corporation’s industry regulations section is Rose Romalus, formerly a senior quality officer.

Fleet-care business, Compass Works PNG, has appointed Vincent Lohia as its new General Manager.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill this week announced several appointments. They include Michael Dick as Chief Ombudsman; Richard Pagen as Ombudsman and Apeo Fuata Sione re-appointed as Public Service Commissioner.

The outgoing Secretary of the Department of Mineral Policy and Geohazards Management, Shadrach Himata, will be taking up the role of Mining Secretary in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. Harry Kore takes up Himata’s former position.
