A new chair at Bougainville Copper, Westpac appoints a new Pacific Regional Head, a new Sales Manager for Air Niugini in the New Guinea Islands and a new chief migration officer appointed by the National Executive Council.

Bougainville Copper Limited has appointed Bougainvillean Mel Togolo as Chairman of the Board, replacing Robert Burns, who is retiring. Togolo, who only joined the board in October this year, has had a long involvement in the mineral sector and served on the BCL board in the early 1990s. He chairs his first meeting in February, 2018.

Westpac has appointed Kip Hanna as its new Regional Head, Pacific. He was most recently Head of Asia-Pacific Business Development for ANZ, including PNG and Fiji.

Air Niugini has appointed Robin Taman as the new Regional Sales Manager to look after its business operations in the New Guinea Islands region.

The National Executive Council has appointed Solomon Kantha as the new Chief Migration Officer at the PNG Immigration & Citizenship Service Authority, effective immediately and for four years. The decision comes after Kantha was acting in the position since the death of Mataio Rabura.
