New directors at Bougainville Copper and Nautilus, senior appointments at Allens

Bougainville Copper has appointed Mel Togolo and Peter Graham to its board of directors. Togolo, a former BCL board member and prominent Bougainvillean, held several senior positions with Bougainville’s former North Solomons provincial government between 1978 and 1990, including the role of Chief Secretary. Since 2006 he has served as PNG country manager with Nautilus Minerals. Graham was Managing Director of ExxonMobil PNG from 2009 to 2015, and is currently Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ok Tedi Mining. Last year, he was appointed Independent Director and Chairman of Kumul Minerals Holdings Limited, the PNG state entity mandated to hold and manage state equity in PNG mining projects.

Nautilus Minerals has announced the appointment of John McCoach to its board, following the resignation of Mark Horn. McCoach recently retired as president of the TSX Venture Exchange, Toronto, a position he held since 2009. He will chair the company’s Audit Committee.

Allens has made two senior appointments in Port Moresby. David Hill, formerly with the Bank South Pacific, has joined Allens as Practice Director, PNG. Asher Chillion, has been appointed as Senior Associate in the Disputes & Investigations practice.
