The Bank of Papua New Guinea has a new Deputy Governor. Dr Gae Yandabing Kauzi has been with the bank for more than 20 years as a researcher, research coordinator, research department manager, and more recently as assistant governor (Monetary and Economic Policy Group). Kauzi will be in charge of one of the three core functions of the BPNG – formulation and conduct of monetary policy.

Clarence Hoot has been appointed Acting Managing Director of the Investment Promotion Authority, after Ivan Pomaleu resigned to join the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) as PNG’s APEC Ambassador.

Gases and engineering company BOC has appointed John Evans as Managing Director, BOC South Pacific. He is the Vice Chairman of the Gas Energy Association and Head of the BOC Regional Executive Board.

Sir Nagora Bogan has resigned as a director of Bank of South Pacific. He has served on the board since 2003.
