The third edition of The PNG Investors’ Manual, a publication designed to help companies do business in Papua New Guinea, was launched on Monday by Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill.
The publication, published in partnership by the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry (POMCCI), the Asian Development Bank and the Investment Promotion Authority of PNG, is designed to answer common queries about PNG, and provide sources to further information.
‘We developed it because we were tired of handling similar queries—what are the tax rates? how do I register a business?—all the time,’ said POMCCI”s Chief Executive Officer David Conn at the launch. ‘Now we have all the answers in one publication, it makes things much easier for us and also investors.’
In launching the manual at the 2013 Papua New Guinea Advantage investment summit, Prime Minister Peter O’Neill congratulated the publishers and said he hoped the manual would encourage more investment in the country.
The PNG Investors’ Manual: a handbook for investing and doing business in Papua New Guinea is available from the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
